"Top Dogs" is a collaboration of young jazz musicians and their mentors. These musicians hail from Silpakorn University where their destinies entwined.
Being accomplished musicians in their own right, and in their own respective generations allowed this collaboration to come about but more importantly, it is a coming together of two generations of jazz musicianship with the common belief that the student and the teacher should be able to perform alongside one another.
The formative initiations of the class room can now be expanded and shared with all of the contributions that each party brings to the union. Experiences gained, and indulgences fostered can now be shared through the medium of jazz and the communion results in an exponentially energetic exchange that is both refreshing and a wonder to behold.
"Top Dogs" is a bridge between two generations of jazz performers, one a wiser and more experienced caretaker whilst the other is a more contemporary recipient of the flame full of youthful vigor.
"Top Dogs" invites you to share this unique experience every Tuesday night at "jazZ happens!" bar on Phra Athit Road.
