Reverse Culture Shock after staying in Japan for too long

Today I talk about Culture Shock and habits that have been hard to "unlearn" for me since I've been to Japan for a longer period of time. Many people talk about the culture shock that one experiences when going to Japan, but in my experience coming back home can also be hard in terms of getting used to cultural differences. I call this a "reverse" culture shock.

I can’t wait to live in Japan. You talk about the culture shock but I think it’s exciting. I want to experience it all. People who live in another country and learn a new language always seem to have more depth. I’m hoping it helps me too.

only library is quiet, it is okay to talk in buses or public transport and small talk is done alot as well. Strange no rubbish bins in japan, I could not get used to that.

I think Switzerland and Germany are pretty similar, so I can't really tell you something interesting about it you didn't know before.
You can correct me, but when I was in Switzerland (I think I just went there twice, and also just for a day or so) there wasn't really anything that shocked me.

Anyway great video as always :D

Yup. I don't even have to go out of the country for that.
Romanian and Hungarian people are very different in cultural habitats.

The biggest difference is probably that the Romanian people are really touchy.

When I first went to the sea to distant relatives for the summer I experienced it first hand.
Imagine a bulky, almost 2 meter tall guy who's as red as a lobster with a bigger smile than a drunk Irish man basically flying towards you. Basically a Santa without any kind of facial hair or clothes except a pair of shorts and flippers .lifting you up in a second and kissing you on the cheeks.

For context, not even my dad would do that and this guy whom I met ones 10 years ago just did.

Though on the upside. The girls are like the same so I didn't mind that ^ 3 ^)

bowing is weird in the west, so that would be a strange habit. Taking shoes off before going inside is what we do in cambodian culture as well so thats not weird to me. Card giving is not what we do. Japan has so many polite rules so different to western countries. In nz we can walk around in bare feet so not strange to me, but may not be polite in japan.
