My '04 1100 Spirit Shadow's name is Blackie. The ole single pin crank issue. Git out'a here Harley.
I read that the Spirit was a Wide Glide knockoff.
I have a windshield due to bugs and gravel pebbles on the Interstate in my area of Looziana.
Love my Spirit, BFF.

Nice to see that you're back on YouTube! The exhaust on your Shadow sounds great on the video.

You move your head around way to much if you want to use footage from that camera stop moving so much

Love mine too. Simple to work on, and provides a pure bare-bones motorcycle experience.

Good to see you back... Kind of wondering what happened... I'll tell you what, I would dig the opportunity to sit down with you at a coffee place and talk Shadow shop with ya, I owned for 23 years the first year of shadows that hit this country back in 83. Yep 1983 was the debut year for the Honda Shadow 750, first water cooled V-Twin, the thing was a tank. Bought it in 96 with 13, 000 on it I clocked another 40, 000 in 23 years. No top end or lower end work ever, didn't puff oil or drip it. I know right a 2006 Honda VTX 1300. And it's good to know they still know how to build TANKS. Took two trips in the past 3 years both south of the Smoky mountains national Park, and of course not I'll look at trouble. That's from Toledo to robbinsville, and from Toledo to Norfolk Virginia naval base. You can't blow these things up! Later from the 419.

Great video.
I watched it, liked it, and you got a new subscriber in me.
I have the 2000 model Shadow ACE 750.
She's beautiful, sounds great, and just a joy to ride.
this is my third Shadow, and i wish I had never sold the other 2!
I swear I'm not the guy who wants to correct people, but early on in this video you mistakenly said the Shadow came out in 1995, but I'm guessing you meant the ACE did.
my first shadow was a 1985 500cc. she was an awesome bike, and I should've kept her!
your 2001 is a beauty! love the paint.
again, great video. look forward to more.

You and I have the same taste in bikes, my friend. I just got a 2004 Shadow Aero and I flipping love it, and I would trade a random body part for a ST1300.

There is a lot of stupid sh1t on this bike, like a fuel pump that isn't actually much of a fuel pump.
Rear seat pegs that are way too high up for you to put your feet up on
Cylinder heads you can't remove without tearing the whole bike apart
Stator coils you can't remove without draining the engine oil. A turn signal that you only can push in to turn off, not just click also back the reverse way.
You don't realize how bad this bike is designed until you compare it to an old school Honda air cooled inline twin from the 80's you've been riding for years.

Thank you for the pleasant presentation of this Shadow 750. I am downsizing on my weight of bike and have been looking at the Shadow line. I have owned two 750's Shadow Aero and miss the motor. Ride

Curious, dropping down teeth on the rear, did it give you more highway overtaking power? Seems to be the weak spot on them having to pick your gaps more carefully..that and front tyre pressures to prevent scalloping....

I've got the 99 ace deluxe. It's always been cool to me that they kept it the exact same minus a few details. They put the speedo on the tank for 01, mines in the bar with a locking gas cap that key matches all the other locks including the factory helmet lock. And my emblems different. Mines just a retro sticker that still looks dope. But I've always prefered a wing or at least some metal badging like yours

The thing is if your really into motorcycles you can tell the difference. I'm not a Harley guy. I love my Honda, it looks nice, its reliable. An it works for you. I also can't lie I really do like the sound of the Harley's. But, the attitude an the reliably of it turns me off of it. The cost is also something else. 😅
