The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim - I just got done watching the new animated Lord of the Rings prequel and I have some quick thoughts. The movie is not near as bad as The Rings of Power but that doesn't make it good.

As just a Viking saga, its pretty solid. But it's with LOTR trimmings.

Foliage wasn't disappointing. I loved the animated version of The Hobbit when I was a kid.

You bring up some valid criticisms, but at the same time, this specifically is a very human story the Dunlendings and their allies versus the Rohirrim who they see as the usurpers and oppressors. There is no place for Elves, Dwarves or hobbits.

Frankly this was a slow movie but i went in expecting a slow movie since it was lord of the rings but i do see some potential for another movie where they have hera meet with gandulf which will lead to the hobit years later

I feel like over 50% of film or tv series projects are just a waste of time and money. I am very disappointed about this film.

You have to have grown up with and truly liked anime. I liked Jin roh the wolf brigade. Thought it was beautiful movie. Same director I think. I'll reserve my OWN judgment till I see it. Many of these modern youtubers don't really know anime and they don't really know classic Hollywood film. I feel they just want subscribers. They just "copy" what everyone else says. Make no mistake. Movies and animation aren't for them anyway. Not really in my opinion. Art should be about experiences shared. And quality and memories over commerce and numbers. In my humble opinion everyone and I mean EVERYONE has got it ALL wrong!😢😢😢 I subscribe to and watch many of these channels. I believe they don't always sound very smart. I think sometimes they miss the point. Should be about love of cinema not selling shit or getting members.😮

Heard the story is poor, as are the characters & the film's too long.
The animation is ok - a western anime wannabe? A lot of that on streaming - Lara Croft, Masters of the Universe, etc.
The kids had no interest in seeing it anyway though they've watched the LOTR trilogy countless times.

It looks +/- like shit. With the Lord of the Rings tag this should've been a peak time+quality project imo. This is the second animated project that really disapointed me because it just feels like someone, down the line, really tried to cheapen it ... the first one was Dota 2. I would honestly rather both didn't exist because, imo, if you don't have the budget or "non-budgetary-magic-skills" to put quality into a project, then i would rather it only existed in my own imagination...
