Everyone can change, Lucifer in some religions isn't evil, rather a balance in between good and evil

The way Lucifer is portrayed in the show is kinda like how the Grim Reaper is regarded imo. The reaper is just there to collect and guide the dead, not the one who causes the death (like Lucifer and sinners). But because of the association, it causes fear, so people blame and hate the reaper and dont realize the kindness of having that presence to guide you at your most lost.

If you read the stories about the devil and his domain, you can't fail to notice that Hell is the place to punish evil souls. And the devil is the prison keeper not a prisoner.

Somehow the scene reminds me that she never really thought that he was really the devil, she only found out little by little through other people who told her things and through certain situations, but she never really believed him and that he would then show himself as he really is.
He is disappointed in her, after all this time she still thinks badly of him. He gave it his all, turned 180 degrees and in the end refused. I felt so sorry for him. She should have seen him as he is and not what job he has to do.

Friendly reminder that, even in the Bible, it's never stated that the Devil is ruling over Hell.
He was simply the first one to be sent there, and in a way, he is "watching over" the place, but Hell is not his.
