This album and frankly all of Janelle monae's music has saved my life. But I realise that as someone who loves the music but maybe doesn't know the lore you're spot on that Janelle and Cindi are very intertwined and Cindi is basically the android replica from Janelle's soul. Anyhow what makes this album the best for me is you can dance or cry or even sob while flailing around the room because it's so filled with emotion and is so important to me as a young queer girl. Janelle will always be my inspiration. Glad people are still talking about this!

Hmmm you love Make the Bus but don't like Hissing Fauna. This album is a masterpiece though. I was so confused when DC came out and everyone was hailing it as her crowning achievement. I assumed none of them had heard this before.
