LATEST STAR CITIZEN PATCH ALPHA 3.24.1 OPEN PTU

Star Citizen is an Open Development Alpha Project by Cloud Imperium. It is 2 Games really though, the Persistent Universe that aims to build a First Person MMO Space Sim that encompasses gameplay in ship & on ground, economy and pretty much anything else you can think of. It's built in the StarEngine (a modified Lumberyard Engine). You'll see massive Space Ships that you can fly with friends, land on planets, explore or whatever your way to whatever goal you choose. It's available to try in it's current Alpha State now, you can give feedback & influence the direction of the game BUT it is VERY ALPHA.
Squadron 42 is the Single Player Campaign of Star Citizen & the Spiritual Successor of Wing Commander. The Idea is the game is immersive, cinematic, beautiful & seamless... NO LOADING SCREENS once in game.
Both Games are currently in the Alpha of their development.
I am suspecting to see something more mainstream for Star Citizen's PU by the end of 2024 with permanent progression, though it will be a while after that before the game is considered "feature complete" which would be closer to 2025 in my opinion.
The are no dates for Squadron 42's Release Yet BUT it is now Feature Complete.

I am an Independent Content Creator & Star Citizen Fan. I am not paid by Cloud Imperium HOWEVER I am an Evocati Member and as such I am under an NDA for Closed Early Patch Tests of Star Citizen', known as the Evocati Test Flight (ETF). Damn, the removal of damage from moving cargo is a HUGE QoL. Kept blowing up my C2 because of how aggressive the ATLS was at moving cargo lmao

Yea it’s really good right now. I just hope that this carries over to the PU as oftentimes it does not.

3:58 I love how in the video they show people getting 32 SCU containers on the Caterpillar, yet it's practically impossible right now because the cargo grid doesn't work like that.

I'm happy to hear they are working very hard to correct the wrongs from 3.24 with a .1 and then a .2 patch.

The crate collision fix is huge, especially for ships like the Taurus, and anything the ATLS is unloading. That thing pulls boxes in violently with no regard for narrow doorways or squishy humanoids that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That Zeus walkthrough was amazing....now im just looking forward to the launch of 4.0 and viewing 3.24.x as just bug fixes and getting everything in the best state until Pyro comes in....which will be great to splitting the player base into 2 systems!

Thanks for reporting about that 3.24.1 Patch and keeping it short :) As someone who's been looking to get into SC since the new Cargo Update released that juicy giveaway would be just wonderful to win. Cheers!

I still find the cargo management / lift to be highly flakey. It's nearly impossible to fill up a crate with loot for selling. When I select a bunch of items to transfer into the crate, when I raise the lift, the crate only ends up with 1 or 2 items loaded. Each lower/raise and fill cycle only transfers 1 or 2 items out of dozens selected. This makes bunker loot essentially impossible to sell off.

Thanks Broed for the awesome update. My only problem is the dead freight elevator after calling down furniture items that get stuck in the air and unabled to be move, blocking the elevator making it useless. I am talking about things like the Jukebox and any older hangar flair items. It;s been reported by so many people but CIG hasn't even hinted to fixing it, and it IS A Hangar breaking bug.

Was doing the usual space trucker stuff with the latest patch - the ATLS is not needed fot, and even hinders, moving boxes into the FL MAX. While you can stomp around inside the usual tools work better than the suit. Probably best for the much larger cargo ships.
Wandering around asteroid fields "feels" a bit safer as no invisible debris panels were found today, but that could have just been a bit of luck.
Found a Mole stuck inside a station landing bay pod; not visible inside so it's behind and below the bay proper. Just a case of not everything being fixed or accounted for.
All-in-all the patch feels like a step forward with no shuffle backwards.
