what some people don’t seem to realize is that “unscripted” does not mean what we saw was unplanned. it means most likely, the actors improvised something in a rehearsal and it was then included in filming. and yes it was the tear and Galinda wiping it away that was unscripted, not the whole dance, although i do believe Cynthia got to make most of it up herself

I think with the Ozdust ballroom scene, I'm pretty sure that it meant that Ariana didn't want to learn the dance with Cynthia to play that part genuinely. So Ariana didn't learn the dance until blocking.

I know lots of people are saying the ozdust part was scripted because of the crying it glinda wiping her tear (which is true) but im pretty sure the person who made this video was talking about how Ariana didn’t learn the ozdust dance beforehand and cynthia taught it to her during the scene because she wanted it to be more emotional

In the ozdust scene Ariana did not know the actual dance so it was more natural that elphaba was showing Glinda

I saw a bts clip that Ariana was just messing around and they saw her do a high kick and decided to add it in so not really unscripted either

People gotta stop making such a big deal about Michelle Yeohs performance. It was ok at best. She can’t carry a tune, and she didn’t even audition for this role. Her clapping twice isn’t as insane as everyone keeps making it out to be. She clapped in an echoey room, that’s all
