It's not the new mid-engine Corvette. The Corvette has been mid-engine for years now. Case and point. When the C5 moved the transmission to the rear axle and moved the engine closer to the firewall. It made that generation Corvette carry the weight even closer to the center of the body. Any time you have the engine sitting behind the front axle. By definition that is a mid-engine car. So you would define old Corvettes as a front mid-engine car and the new C8 Corvette is a rear mid-engine car. Just like the Mercedes Benz AMG GT is defined as a mid-engine car and the GT's engine and transmission layout is the same as the C5, C6 and C7. If you are still confused just ask Tadge Juechter.

those are not the base seats, those are GT2 buckets. GT1 buckets are "base" seats.
