The AirPods Pro 2 are regularly discounted to $179 on Amazon. Unless you don’t like in-ear tips, there’s no reason to get either version of the AirPods 4.

Active noise cancellation comes standard in most other companies (I have the galaxy buds fe would definitely recommend)

I am *really* curious to see how the ANC works, because usually you need a physical auditive seal (for AirPods Pro, that’s the silicone tip) to prevent additional sound waves from making it into the ear.

you can get the AirPods Pro 2 on sale sometimes for as low as $169. Honestly better off waiting until black friday for them

Personally i bought the base model airpods 4 and they are good so for a base model they are pretty good they dont really silence ypur surroundings you can hear it ofc but overall they are a pretty good pair of airpods

I never felt like anc worked very well with earbuds, can’t imagine it working well enough to spend extra money for it on a open back pair of earbuds

All of the features in the $179 model are in my $120 LG earbuds, and they probably sound better than the airpods too

I think they made the cheaper one specifically for kids and teenagers, considering that nowadays almost every kid has their own phone.

I picked up a pair of the 4’s with ANC today and i like them alot, heaps better than the AirPod 2’s i used to have
