THIS might actually be the greatest Mass Effect secret that we've been missing all these years!
In todays Mass Effect 4 theory video, i'll explain how Conrad Verner holds the key that ties Mass Effect Andromeda to the original Trilogy (maybe).

Conrad Verner: when you have high INT but took WIS as your dump stat.

Bioware is gonna pull a funny and make Conrad Verner the protagonist.

Conrad is that very smart guy that just doesn't get any social cues at all whatsoever.

I sure hope the writers of me4 are watching these fan thesis/mythos mulling vids! Great ideas commander!

Conrad was annoying but I always felt bad for him. After all, he only wanted to help. I was glad that he got at least some small measure of validation, even if it was worth only one point of war assets.

I was skeptical at first but damn this is actually a decent theory. I forgot Conrad Verner was a doctor

They actually do talk about how dark energy messes with stuff in game! During the mission on Haestrom in Mass Effect 2, Tali discusses how the system's sun is degenerating into a supernova while its age isn't supposed to be anywhere near it. The sun is too young to exhibit the properties that it does and the quarians hypothesize that it must be the dark energy messing with it. So I think dark energy speeds up time for whatever it interacts with.
The time it takes for the Andromeda crew to move from Andromeda back to the Milky Way is 633 years. If dark energy were to mess with the arks then that amount of time would be reduced a significant amount, maybe even fast enough that the journey only takes 3 or 4 years instead of the 633 x 2 years + how long ME:A took in game.

What I think ? The idea of ME universe being based on real science and theories is fascinating and often overlooked

I think the yahg will be major players in 4 if not the main antagonist. Reason being Hackett says the reapers aren’t harvesting their homeworld, and if you listen to the audio logs on Sur’Kesh you can hear a salarian say they are a good species for covert uplift. The dossier on the yahg in the shadow brokers base highlights their intelligence, but brutality. Seems ripe for a yahg uprising or rebellion, like the uplifted krogan.

I'm reluctant to believe that Conrad's dissertation had that much of an impact... mainly because I'm still salty that on my first trilogy playthrough this year, I missed the Feros side quest and only got ONE WAR ASSET from him!

Bring back the Dark energy plot line. We can explore so much with that concept. And then connect the two galaxies.

That’s honestly the best way to bring mass effect back in the best way possible.

Conrad to be the one responsible for building a Super Relay connecting the two galaxies in a hours long journey

His sister Cassandra is still alive and well in Andromeda. Would be cool to see her again in ME4 as a quest giver or even a temporary companion. You should also do a video on Zaeed's son Bain. He could potentially be a great ME4 squadmate.

I would love to see Conrad interact with his sister. Would be good times.

the idea is that it speeds up time. This also relates to the star at Haestrom from ME2 that is aging faster than it "should have" and it had something to do with dark matter.

I think if we do play with dark energy time dilation, it will be as a side effect of the crucible firing

I see people misread this all the time, "dark energy causes a (mi-nute) but empirically observable..." It is a small but measurable difference, not a literal minute.

Hmm maybe when Shepard destroyed the Reapers, the energy around him caused a time jump and he awake 10 years later when Liara finds him. That’s why his body was never discovered

These fan theories will likely be better than what we will be getting.

Bravo! You are right! Watching your video and thinking how it isn't just me who thinks the same about "almost invisible Konrad and his little story, dark energy, time complex etc.". Everything is possible in Mass Effect and that's the beauty of it. For the first time, I've only recently followed & discovered the full Konrad's story by playing trilogy again in legendary edition. Almost nobody paying attention on his scientific research and how significant potentially it would be in so many ways
