Pros:
The instrument is light and fast
The onboard battery is long lasting

Cons:
When working near traffic, constantly locks on cars and other reflective surfaces

The smallest amount of vibration keeps making the level bubble screen come on. This is especially frustrating when you’re on a construction site.

Overall I’d say that if the integrity of your data is important to you then you shouldn’t buy this instrument. I constantly have to watch this gun to be sure that its actually aiming at the prism. I’ve had it pointing at the ground and telling me it’s locked. Coupled with the changes that spectra has made to survey pro, using this instrument has been the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with surveying equipment. I’ve gone back to using my Focus 10 which is the best instrument I’ve ever used. Its reliable, accurate and when I’m using it I know that when I take a shot I’m getting good information. It’s sad to see companies “fix things that aren’t broken”. Newer doesn’t always mean better.
