We made our fufu (Tom Tom or pound plantain as we call it in Trinidad) from the boiled green plantain. But it was one person pounding the hell out of it. 🤣🤣🤣Eaten on a Sunday with stewed chicken, red beans, callalloo, macaroni pie and salad. Even during the week with stewed fish. Boy my mother was a damn good cook (and she was East Indian too but she could cook everything under the sun). Nostalgia is setting in. Getting emotional now. Home cooked food is the best.🇹🇹🇨🇦

Kalau di salatiga Jawa Tengah namanya cothot. Singkong kukus panas "di tumbuk dilumpang macam ni, dibikin bulat" di isi gula Jawa/ gula pasir, trs di goreng. Mak nyus rasanya.
