I was a temporary employee for a year, regular employee for 1 year, a lead man for about 4 and now I'm getting the call up to be supervisor next week ! It was a grind but I look forward to the new challenges wish me luck!! 🤞 This series definitely gives me a little more to think about thanks for the wisdom.

Bless you for making this video! I'm about to go from peer to supervisor and I am sad the relationships will change.

Because I was so well loved and praised by everyone in the call center and even other departments, for me, it was challenging transitioning on telling my peers (of which many had turned into actual friends) to take their breaks and lunches, letting them know when they're late (or have been excessively late and that it's not acceptable, etc. - oh boy that one was tough!), and even having to deal w/ agents that have worked there longer than I have + know more than I do in the systems + have been demoted w/ pay cut from other depts and are now on my team, to being stretched thin w/ Team Lead duties... your videos have helped mold and shape my new first time supervisor role tremendously. BTW, I've been sharing these w/ all the other TL's and mgmt too. Thank you sir!

Today, I got offered a position as a supervisor for the airlines. I am nervous because it's been years since I was in a leadership type role. But I found your videos very helpful! Thanks for carving out the time to speak with us!

I just put a internal application in at my work(been here for 8 years and I’m 30) I put in for the supervisor knowing I won’t get it. I put my app in and the plant manager says to me “so glad you put your app in and internal growth is key to me and I cannot wait for the interview with a smile and shook my hand) I was actually surprised he said that and blown away. I wanna be the best supervisor and if I get this job I will dunk it I promise.

I apply to the supervisor position 2 months ago. I got the job but to be honest its so stressful, I feel that my co-workers do not take me serious not sure what to do . Since I was always the funny coworker this is taking a toll on me.

Great video! I’m a first-time supervisor myself. I just moved out of teaching and back to retail. I spent most of my professional life in teaching, so this transition has been quite difficult, and I have come to find that managing adults is different than managing kiddos. (Quelle surprise!) Thanks for that statistic at the beginning, it surprised me and helped me validate what I’m going through. I’ll watch this video on the way to work to help me feel more confident. I know I can do this supervising job, but I am transitioning from peer to supervisor this week and I have gotten some pushback already from my fellow employees. Nothing too serious but I was really caught off guard by it: the two employees just stood around chatting for over 30 minutes! They definitely wouldn’t have done that if any of the other supervisors had been there Lol 😆 Yes, the store was empty, but there’s still loads to do. My teacher self wanted to go over and give them a friendly reminder that there was still work to do, but I felt so insecure I just let them keep talking. I’m supervising the bookstore again today so I wanted to bring my A-game and not let this happen again. But on the other hand, I don’t want to be too strict, you know? 😅

First day as a supervisor tomorrow at one of my countries largest tourist attractions which couples as a military base and it does feel a bit daunting glad I watched this though gives me a bit more confidence on what to do and think.

I got kicked into a supervisor position because the other supervisor stepped down I was friends with most of the people it’s going to be hard not to have that friendship stopping me on firing them but at the end of the day it’s my responsibility thanks for the tips makes me feel better about jumping into this position

I have been in leadership roles for all of the positions I've held at different companies.
I intend to apply to supervisor positions only because I am certain I'm ready for the leap. This is a great video with great advice.
Thank you.
