This is I really brilliant video demonstrating a good technique for both picky/slappy technique, and simple note rotation.

All I would say, is that he (and you) will need to detune the bass a ¼ tone as the actual record was slowed down at the mixing stage because they thought it sounded better and more 'rare groove' which is what they were aiming for.

If you have an electronic tuner, just use the percentage gauge.

Awesome song and underrated song for new slap players myself included. Don’t usually see it mentioned. Quick question though, the the little mute notes you play before the hammer on slaps.. it appears that you are playing those with your popping hand? Not slapping the mutes? Correct? Ty
