Dude, the look on your face when it finally hit you what this song was about, says it all…. And that’s why Aerosmith made this song. Steven Tyler opened a rescue house for sexually abused teens too. Thanks you for playing it!

This song saved me. I was 16 when this song came out and I was dealing with this same situation at home. I told people for years and even my boyfriend called the cops and no one would believe me or him. Then one day I heard this song and I took things into my own hands. No, I didn't shoot anyone but I packed up a backpack full of clothing and left home at 16. It's sad when a 16-year-old feels safer living on the streets than at home.

One of the best Aerosmith's songs (period). Musically, lyrically and melodically.

Please, you gotta hear "SWEET EMOTION"
My favorite song by them, & the bass line forever burned into my brain. I can play it with my eyes closed!
A must song!!!

Oh man, when this video came out MTV was in a tizzy. Because nobody had ever talked about this, not in mainstream, anyway. The subject was still taboo. But it's so powerful. And Steven Tyler started Janie's Fund for sexually abused girls that's still functioning today. There's so many great songs to choose from, but definitely Back In The Saddle and Sweet Emotion. My favorites are the more naughty ones like Love In An Elevator and Pink though lol

Steven Tyler partnered with Youth Villages to create Janie's Fund and Janie's House for girls who have suffered from abuse and neglect. Awesome song to raise awareness.

Steven opened Janie Foundation for abused, and battered girls. This whole album, Pump, is fire. Love In An Elevator, and What It Takes. Awesome reaction brother.

So many great songs in the 70's. Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Train Kept A' Rollin', Back in the Saddle, Walk This Way (original version), Same Old Song and Dance, and on and on.. They went for more commercial, pop-style ballads in the 80's and 90's, but in the 70's...they were a hard rock band to be reckoned with.

"What it Takes" is one of my favorites from the band. Tyler's voice is phenomenal, and it's a great song!

This predates law and order. This video was considered kind of groundbreaking because of its cinematic style that wan't done before in music videos. I'm sure it. set the stage for November rain, as aerosmith was extremely influential to gnr, in fact they opened for them right around this time. In the 70's they were so bluesy, but into the late 80's and 90's they were less bluesy and their musicianship was just top notch. So many great songs.

"she said, 'cuz nobody believes me, the man was such a sleaze he, ain't ever gonna be the same'" and "Was her daddy's cradle robbin' made her scream at night?" Two of the most powerful lines.

Aerosmith has such a range. This song was so important because people did not talk about this subject. But their other music “Love in an Elevator” even 90s classics like “Cryin’” and “Crazy” are so good.

The guitarist, Joe Perry, once said they received more letters from fans about this one song than all of the rest combined. Serious subject no one talks about. 🙏👍

You picked a couple great songs to get started with. One of my favorite is “Hangman Jury”. It leans toward the blues rock spectrum. It has some great Harmonica in it.

"Same Old Song And Dance" and "Back In The Saddle" are a couple of older Aerosmith classics.

They have a lot of great songs, Sweet Emotion, Crying, Crazy, Angel, I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, and you said you have already heard Walk This Way, but have you heard and reacted to the version with DMC? It's pretty cool 😎
