I notice your lightest shade at 1:9 is still quite dark. Is there a formula for lighter shades, or do I need to just experiment (and waste a lot of paint in the pricess)

Hi, will this work with water based wallpaint?

I don't understand why you can't just start with one color and just keep adding the other until you get the most desired shade of grey. Is that not what true grey/gray is?? I am told from paint stores that there is no such thing as true/pure grey, that there are always other undertone colors. That also blows my mind. Another conundrum...why can't we just add white or black to lighter or darken any color of paint?
