Pls subscribe my channel to stay up to date 🙂

I sent the guitar signal into the Focusrite ISA one to split into DI signal (that goes into the DAW) and to the recorded amp. This way I have both signals...

Fender Custom Shop 1956 Stratocaster
Plugin: Neural DSP Tone King Imperial MKII plugin
Amp: Tone King Imperial MKII

MIC: AEA ribbon mic R92
Interface & Pre Amp: Metric Halo ULN8 3d

DI Box: Focusrite ISA one

If it was split 50% each way that basically means a perfect result - the plugin was indistinguishable from the amp, literally you could have flipped a coin for which was real. If 100% (or some large majority) had said it was one or the other it would actually prove that there was a large DIFFERENCE between the two. Something people heard and "liked" but it would point to the fact that they sounded clearly different which is not the point of modeling an amp. A 50/50 split is a perfect result. That's pretty amazing.

I cant believe it. B sounded great and didnt have that squishy digital sim attack. Boy was I wrong. I was 100% sure i could always tell. I imagine playing it feels different, but im buying it straight away for recording

So close - Neural have done such a great job. Thank you for this fascinating comparison, it's convinced me that I should buy the plugin. Are you able to tell us the settings you used for the plugin?

So love with the both tone, would you able to share your presets you using with plugins?? If you can, highly appreciated.

HI! Thank you for your video, it is interesting. And thank you for playing something and not just wandering the guitar without timing or progression... What are you recording the amp through? And what are you playing and recording the amp sim through (studio monitor/reamp/line out..) . The recordings sound very close and it would be of great interest to know where the knobs "are" on both the real amp and the plugin. T

For the future you should post the result at the end of a video. You see that also from the few views the "result" video got. Ist ja kein Kindergarten, wo man die Bonbons verstecken muss, oder?
I liked B better, less harsh sounding. But the difference can partly be explained by the need to mic up the amp vs. an simulated mic'ed recording. I myself do not even own an amp and use monitors (with a great bass response, but really flat frequency response -- calibrated with a measurement mic) to actually get the sound of the amp sim (S-Gear).
