THORChain (RUNE) is a decentralized liquidity protocol that allows users to swap cryptocurrency assets across a range of blockchain networks. The THORChain Token (RUNE) is the BEP2 utility token for the THORChain network. Used for liquidity, security, payments, governance and to amplify assets.

THORChain implements an Automated Market Maker (AMM) model which uses a ratio of assets in a pool to maintain market prices instead of relying on order books.
Cross-Chain Transactions - Nodes are connected to BTC, ETH & other blockchains with bi-directional bridges, allowing permissionless cross-chain transfers of assets.
Bifröst Signer Module - The Bifröst Signer Module is the cross-chain bridge system that allows the THORChain protocol to connect to different chains.
Staking Rewards - A percentage of all trading fees goes to rewarding liquidity providers (LPs) who stake assets in a liquidity pool on the network.
