Did Americans generally miss Russia casually declaring that the sale of Alaska to the USA was illegal? Suggesting that Alaska should be Russian territory.
Dismantling Russian military assets by spending American money instead of American blood is a bargain that you'd be crazy to disregard.

Latest numbers in dollars: France $64B - 2% of GDP, Germany $84 - 1.5%, Italy $84B - 1.5%, Poland $35B - 4.1%, Spain $24B - 1.4%, Sweden $10B - 1.3% (REALLY?), UK $83B - 2.3%.
