Cocos Keeling Islands Intensive Clean up Mission 2021
Показать описание
Over a two-week period, crew from Sea Shepherd’s Marine Debris Campaign undertook a huge multi-island clean-up called the "The IOT Trash Bash 21" over the Cocos Keeling Islands, removing more than 8 tonnes of consumer plastics and discarded fishing gear.
The Cocos Keeling Islands are a place of immense natural beauty, home to an abundance of marine life including green and hawksbill turtles, sharks, dolphins and manta rays.
Like many remote islands across the globe, this beautiful atoll is a hotspot for ocean plastics.
We’ll be returning to the islands this year to continue our fight against marine plastic pollution.
