Perth Youth Film Academy is dedicated to the production of fun-filled courses for teenagers interested in learning more about the film industry. I've watched this about 10 times and have told other people about it.
I've been watching a lot of short films lately and most have a muddied plot and leave me scratching my head trying to figure out what's going on. The writers and/or actors don't seem to be able to convey what they want us to feel in the short duration of the film.. But the more times I watch "There's Something I Need To Tell you', the more I appreciate how well-written and acted it is. In less than three minutes the film draws the viewer into the characters and the dialog and then, ZZZIINNNNGGGG, the twist. It is SO good. Kudos on making a short film that actually condenses all the elements of a good short story down to three crystal-clear minutes. I don't know how anybody could watch it and not laugh! Well done.

I came back to this short, after having given up on it midway months ago, as just a little too cliche a coming- out story. I came back to it today for the most delightful surprise. All those tired cliched lines woven into pure gold. All this time, I was soo wrong.
