How to Create Smooth Rolling Credits in DaVinci Resolve 16 [Tutorial]

You can build a really good scrolling credits title with multiple font types and proper text alignment by using the Fusion page. This tutorial shows you exactly how to achieve that.

Missing the text-editor of Adobe Premiere I found a way simpler method: Create a high picture in Adobe Photoshop or Affinity Photo (width is the size of you video, height several times the video-height). Add your text there and you can use all the fonts, pictures and other stuff you want to use. Put that picture in the Davinci Resolve Timeline, zoom it until it has the correct width and use the inspector to let it scroll from top to bottom.

I'm thinking this is a perfect job for fusion scripting. Then there's no question things are aligned and centered properly, and you can make radical format changes easily.

This works fine in Davinci Resolve 17 but it's no smoother than just keyframing a Resolve scrolling text element or a png file exported from Photoshop
