America is such a weird country. It claims to be a champion of freedom but its workers are treated like shit. Europe has strong unions and we have strong workers' rights including the right to job security, paid leave, maternity and paternity rights, sickness benefits and the right to be in a union and take strike action. Corporations and companies cannot ban unions or try to stop workers from forming and joining unions. I get the impression that Republicans and some Democrats would be horrified and that leaves us baffled it's like America got stuck in an age which existed 150 years ago.

The speech was carefully crafted to tell truths never heard in a convention. Each monologue ended with specific words to bring applause. He never said trump was pro union. He embarrassed a few politicians who probably had to vote for pro union bills to get something they needed. He praised trump in trump style language while not giving him credit for anything substantial. The speech was crafted to get the union word out while making the slow minded folks applaud. I think the speech was the effective speech that most politicians attempt.
