Is Virginia in your sights for your new home? Want to find some real estate, a mortgage, and find out why Virginia is for Lovers. Who doesn’t right? Today's video is about the Common Wealth of Virginia. Side Note "Virginia is for Lovers" is the tourism and travel slogan of the commonwealth. It has been Used since 1969, it has become a well-recognized and often imitated part of American jargon.
Virginia isn’t growing as fast as it has in the past. In this last census, Virginia only grew by 7.9%. That was the first census with single-digit growth since the 1930s and the United Van Lines survey had the commonwealth at about even for people inbound and outbound.
Like I said in the last video If you are one of those people thinking about Virginia this video will show you some things you should know before you make that move both good and bad.

Coming from someone who lives across the bridge (Montgomery County) and has stay in NoVa, I can tell you Virginia is divided. You have Northern Virginia and then the rest of Virginia. Once you leave NoVa you'll see the difference.

"Virginia is for lovers" slogan since 1969. Love it when the humor writes itself

I live in Arlington VA and you hit every point I would have made. One great thing about Arlington is all the free stuff such as Smithsonian and all the military concerts especially in summer. Also, there are great green spaces and close in parks. you make it sound so appealing! And yeah, we are all transplants.

My family is from VA and I moved to VA mountains just over a year ago and am loving it. Beautiful nature, people are generally polite and really nice. NOVA and the rest of VA are like two different states and where the ever-moving Mason-Dixon line that separates South from North lies. NOVA is one of richest best educated parts of the nation which helps VA financially, highest bond rating of any state, multi-billion surplus this year, with all VA taxpayers getting a refund. I personally like the southern side though, live in a working-class town surrounded by college towns. A lot of the folks who aren't 'well-educated' are highly skilled think farm families now working in factories and construction. The economy is strong and getting stronger, but it's putting price pressure on housing. People seem hard working but pace themselves, take time to talk, not killing themselves for their jobs, and I like the mix of locals and transplants, both bring things to the mix. As for politics people aren't afraid to state their beliefs but are generally civil and red-blue balance means both parties need to take care of business or get replaced.

As a car enthusiast, I was told to avoid driving through Virginia because if you speed and get caught going a certain amount over the speed limit, they take away your license. Radar detectors are also illegal there. Due to this, they have one of the highest rates of people driving without licenses

I’d like to visit Virginia. It’s right above one of my favorite states North Carolina. Awesome video by the way! This one and all your other videos!

Thank you for sharing this with us. We are looking seriously at VA, and a few other states near there. This was very helpful ❤😊

Your analysis is spot on from someone who has lived just outside the NOVA area for over 40 years. My rural county is a wonderful place to live. When I retire I am staying right here and all the NOVA bozzos will go south

I went to high-school in the North Eastern corner of Virginia in the burbs outside of DC, and it was very welcoming when I moved there (I am a third culture kid).

This is sooo soooo soooo helpful! I am leaving Nj and it's a toss up between VA, Md, SC, NC, Ga. I have been searching high and low and this is the best info, and the most helpful piece of information I got about Virginia thank you so much.

Born and raised in northern Virginia, but I went to college in the Shenandoah Valley. Definitely feels like a different state. I hope I end up out there
