The industry-halting strike continues as both actors and writers prepare for the next steps. Lauren Pozen reports.

AMPTP, WGA, SAG. It’s hard to tell who has the most disregard and disdain for the film and television working class and I. A. T.S.E. Guild and crew. AMPTP, WGA & SAG are all the elites rolled into one. All complaining about how much money the other ones are making while the rest of us fall into debt despair and face down foreclosure. They are all going to find a different attitude from the crews they will be depending on in the future, and it won’t be nice.

I am saving money durning this strike now. Did away with tv. The first month thought, I would go nuts. The second month, I started listening to radio, it's even better than TV. I can cook clean and listen to stories, books. I watch you tube during my free time. It's month 3 now, I don't think I want to go back to tv, movies, and shows. I think the writers should get paid more after all without them, they wouldn't have a show. I am on their side, but the strike brought a new meaning to my life, it was being wasted on watching TV. I can even work in the garden and listen to my radio books.

I do not think the studios are reading the room (or, in this case, their audience). With plans to fill the TV airtime with reality TV, they may be in for a shock by the lack of viewership. The public is not going to just watch whatever they can pull together. People have options-- and they're not afraid to make new choices. If the studios don't wise up, this strike could change the entertainment business forever. It could destroy network TV and the entire theater side of the movie business. They plan a lot of reality TV? Good luck with that.

By and large I'm sure the vast majority of the public is behind the unions. Not just because they know the names and faces of many of these people, but because they appreciate their work. More, it seems, than the studios do.

The studios are waiting until sports start back in the fall. By then the customers will completely forgotten about the actors striking and then the studios will have more leverage

Studios are losing money hand over fist because of crappy writing and crappy content. So these people want a percentage of negative royalties??? Doesn’t make sense.
