I took a tour with my family of the Old City Jail years ago when we lived on IOP. At night at one point in dim light I saw the female tour guide's face standing in a second floor room on the southwest side shape shifting before my eyes. One or two dozen faces obscured her image. When the people from the tour exited the room I was the last one through the doorway. In the doorway my body temp seemed to fall 20 degrees and I knew a spirit had passed though me. I wasn't afraid, just amazed. Hope to go back again.

We were at the Jail this past spring....May 2024. We were told that there were approx, 20, 000 people that died there from various forms of neglect, torture, starvation and disease....The tour was very interesting, even though we only were in the basement portion of the jail and we saw and heard ...NO ghosts....

I hope someone can clarify names or what story this is because I'm a bit fuzzy. I did a ghost walk in Charleston in 2007 and they talked about an alley near a bar. There was something about a man that was killed with a knife and supposedly people going on tours will feel a sharp pain in their leg and a mark resembling a cut, supposedly the ghost letting someone else feel the pain they felt. So my first wife and I were doing this tour and we were joking about this particular story because we were like "yeah wonder how much they paid people to tell them they found a cut on their leg." We don't really believe in ghosts and were just doing for fun. Well as we continue the ghost tour I start to feel a slight burning sensation in my leg. I chalk it up to walking around so much that day and just a muscle cramp or something. I keep brushing it off until its driving me crazy. After we get back tot he hotel, I can't help but check it out and I shit you not, there's a small red mark on my leg in a short line as if someone dragged something sharp or irritating across my skin. I wasn't laughing about the ghost tour stories after that.

My teenage son asked to stay at a haunted hotel, so tomorrow night, we’ll be staying at Embassy Suites. I’ve requested room M113, because it’s supposed to be where the “half head” soldier is most regularly seen. They can’t guarantee the room, but they are going to try to get us in it.

After we get checked in, we are scheduled to go on a ghost tour tomorrow evening, and after we check out on Friday, we’re eating lunch at Poogan’s Porch (also haunted) before we head home.

Hi Bill, I am 67 yrs old and what I am saying here is not some made up lie . I lost my youngest Brother in March of 1989 he's buried in Cottageville I went to his grave one night and parked next to his grave because I missed the time's we would talk as we fell asleep as kids, so I shut my car off and reclined the seat all the way back and began to get sleepy within 30 minutes I suddenly heard the sound as if something was under my car and the sound of a huge boulder was sliding over cement, I am going to be honest with you buddy I have Never turned my head lights on before starting any vehicle before But that night I did it and I mean FAST and I got out of there as fast as I could, I will NEVER go back there at night EVER AGAIN, !!!

I'm not a big believer in ghosts, but at Henry's, something pushed me down the small steps connecting the upstairs bar and the hallway. Henry's a dick.
