It's just so heartbreaking in a different sense, because if you think about it Renesmee is the only hybrid in the world to have relatively normal childhood, besides her aging rapidly...
She's the only one to have stability, care, and love.

She not only has TWO loving parents but has aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Yes, one of her grandfathers is a medical doctor, but he has never seen her or treated her as a living, breathing science experiment or glorified guinea pig.

I seriously think that realistically, if these books were set in present time, probably a lot of the vampires, the shape-shifters, and even the hybrids would need therapy. Just because their world is so unique doesn't mean that it's also not a very scary. I'm sure they'd have a lot to work out just to be able to have that self-awareness and validation that it's okay to be happy, amongst all the heartbreaking sadness, and darkness that they've seen.

i feel like there weren't enough scenes with Edward and Renesmee together

I feel bad for edward because him becoming a dad was something he thought he would never have since becoming a vampire but renesmee is there with him and family so for him to get that taken away is heartbreaking ❤️‍🩹 you can see him be truly happy and finally being okay with being a vampire when he thanks carlisle for the life he gave him ❤
