It's really great, when electrical technology progresses in this way and combines with the dynamics of the sea and physics, excellent experiences will occur.

For those interested in comparing to a car, this boat at the recommended cruise speed of 22 knots (about 40 km/h) uses (according to my calculations) a smidge over 600wh/km. That might seem like a lot but is actually very good compared to most ICE boats of this size, water is a dense medium to push through.

Edit: Haha, I made the calculations from the specs of the battery capacity, range and cruise speed in the beginning of the video. Just a little while later, the consumption numbers are shown in the video... just a simple conversion from nautical miles to km is all you need. Serves me right for commenting before watching the whole video!

if possible use car technology light weight materials for soundproofing the cabin to be as silent as possible.
For overnight camping and charging
a lot of boat owners want a sound proofed cabin. A small Bimini roof with solar panels should also be a option for free solar charging. Candela should partner up with Polestar brining the first Sea supercharger station to Oslo Harbor Norway and then the second Sea supercharger station in Strömstad Sweden. Another great option should be a range extender electric generator using bio gas or bio diesel or E85 ethanol for hybrid mode possibly a scaled down version of the generator used in Heart ES-9 hybrid electric passenger plane.

Love the design of the boat, hydrofoil, and how quiet it is! Soo cool! Too bad we have to wait for the electrical infrastructure to support electric boats so thay they will be as useable as electric cars are in Norway now. Most of my cabin use with the boat is only 1 NM a day, but there are several days a week we take longer (1-2 hour) trips, waterski behind the boat etc. You need at minimum a charger at your home dock, and fast chargers at popular destinations.
