With the legendary sixth game of the 1986 World Series playing out in the background, playwright Nicky Logan decides to settle a different kind of score with his critics. Director Michael Hoffman based this 2006 drama on a screenplay by Don DeLillo. Co-produced by Griffin Dunne, the film was a passion project for its stellar cast including Michael Keaton, Robert Downey, Jr., and Bebe Neuwirth, who worked at discount prices.

Trailers from Hell showcases classic previews of past movie attractions punctuated with humorous commentary by iconic filmmakers.

I really should seek this one out. As a Boston fan, I certainly will never forget that night. I was actually in a restaurant in Queens and nearly got into a fight when a friend had to announce to the bar I was rooting for the Sox.

Great movie, although I do remember being a little skeptical at a New Yorker being a Red Sox fan. It's probably explained why in the flick, it's been awhile since I've seen it. I do remember very well watching the actual game 6 w/my dad who was from the state of Maine and a Red Sox fan. I remember taking the loss a bit harder than him though, he was expecting it.
