A discussion of the changes in waveforms and values we see.

In this lesson we dive into the abnormals with our PA cath waveforms and values. We have already previous discussed the normals for both of these, but with our sick ICU patients, we often will see variations in these values and waveforms and its important to understand why we see them and what they mean.

Thank you so much for this! I am a new grad starting in the CVICU. My provider was explaining why he was concerned about my pt having rising numbers and it didn’t add up to me. Very few resources are available that explain the why to these numbers. And what combinations of these different numbers can indicate! More of this!!

One thing that doesn’t make sense to me is why PA pressure would decrease with PE? I would think it would increase .No?
