Google loves imposing rules in things like Manifest V3 where it's "for the sake of security and privacy" but when it's on their ballpark? "Ah yes, let's provide every bit of system information even when it's not necessary and when the service that uses it was long dead."

i think the reason the Brave browser still has it on by default is that due to how things were done in chrome and chromium legacy bits... components of the hangouts extension HAVE to be used if you have a webapp running on Brave requiring a sharescreen function

This is the last straw, I’m fully switching to Firefox and deleting chrome

Edit: ok I am definitely over exaggerating, I don’t think it’s the last straw I’ve been using ff for a while now, the reason is I just don’t want to use chromium browsers, safari isn’t available on windows and tor is just too slow. Thanks for your feedback everyone I am aware Firefox isn’t perfect, but no browser is, and I think Firefox is good for me
