Good to see all hands on deck in the kitchen. Those boys are going to benefit from learning how to really cook from mama.

My Dad loved growing all kinds of peppers too. He would say that they were just right when his face turned red and he broke a sweat. 😅 He's been gone for 47 years and I still miss him every day.

I'm not religious, but you guys are so sweet around the table, giving thanks for your bounty. You have a lovely bond.

Buggy seems so comfortable on camera. I bet long after you guys tire of making/editing videos, it’s going to be Buggy who steps up and continues the tradition!

Your LOOFAH's can ALL be SAVED. When your season is ending but the loofah's haven't finished on the vine, you can save them all before the frost. Drying them out in the shed when they still have some green, as you know doesn't work. They will rot. They can however all be successfully dried out in your OVEN at a low temp. I have seen YouTube videos on this method and thought of you guys.

I so appreciate that you offer what you sought out when you were starting and giving beginner homesteaders such a great resource.

😅This reminds me of two years ago, when I THOUGHT I bought a four-pack each of jalapenos and cayenne, but bought 8 cayenne plants instead. My dad loves spice, so I spent several nights threading cayenne peppers onto strings - 10 strings, each over a foot long. They're still hanging in our kitchen; I never got around to actually powdering them as I meant to. Eh, they're pretty enough to be decoration, though I'll probably let them compost this year. This year, I went crazy on the jalapenos, so I can make cowboy candy and jalapeno jelly, and by the time the season ends, I'll have eaten my fill of jalapeno poppers.

Consider potting up some of the oregano, and other herbs if there are any, then placing the pots in Meg's garden.

Fantastic seed gathering of the mullein. It is really a phlegm breaker tea strained twice

Oh how I wish Meg would make a cookbook. I know she’s busy but maybe one day. 😉

Since you don't weed your gardens, there is no telling what treasures you will find?!❤

Thank you for saying herb correctly! I have never seen anyone thread peppers & I grew up on a 100 acre farm where we raised our own meat & produce. Meg is the best cook. Thanks 🙏

That plastic french-fry cutter works GREAt - until it breaks. I replaced mine with a vegetable chopper from Vevor. It is sturdy and very easy to use, though large and cumbersome and a PITA to disassemble. I just hose it down well using the kitchen faucet spray and let it air-dry.

Ammonia, either put some in containers around the greenhouse, inside and out. I have 3 outside/barn cats, i had a problem with mice/rats in my barns and done this and it has made a huge difference. I just pour it around in my milking area and under the lean-tos and built some shelves up high around the stall areas to put a container.

Fried days are a treat every now and then we all understand.

We all have those fried food days. Now that I’m old, I still have them now and then but every time I do, I say I’ll never do it again.😂
