Shikha Shah for Our Climate Solutions - Young Voices Tackling the Climate Challenge

Sustainability looks at long-term solutions. But textiles are something that we do not give much importance to. We bring to you Shikha Shah for #OurClimateSolutions who has been solving the problems of textile pollution and agricultural waste at AltMat.

She says, “We need to build solutions for all chunks of a supply chain from materials to end of life and then churn impact by backing it with scalable, sustainable business models, starting now.”

AltMat is a materials science company converting agro-waste textile materials at scale. These materials are environmentally sustainable and functionally superior. It can be used in a plethora of applications ranging from home textiles to Fashion.

This is an initiative of the SELCO Foundation and India Climate Collaborative who bring 40 young voices dealing with sustainable development and climate action.
