I hear this, most of my ocd currently is internal( though in the past I’ve dealt with cumpulsive handwashing and skin picking), which makes it really hard for people to understand. They say that it “isn’t ocd”, or don’t understand because I don’t like to talk about it. I am constantly fixating on the most horrid thing I can at any given moment so I don’t like to talk about it, and then filling my head with meaningless phrases to try and drown out my unwanted thoughts.
