What are your thoughts on gaming laptops? What's the main thing holding you back from using one?

I have used the Macbook you speak of. I have to say, from an IT administrator perspective trying to make them work for staff (who have no business *need* for a mac) in a Windows server environment... they are a PAIN IN THE ASS!

Love the content! I know you've already blown up, but this is the perfect channel for streaming and content creation!

One of the biggest draws to a stream deck is that you can see what the button function is through the built in screen. The macro buttons on this laptop are static S1-S8 buttons which although nice to have, it seems like a half measure rather than full blown implementation of a laptop with a sream deck built in. Missed opportunity imo.

That "macro" bar is legit!! Unfortunately, a laptop doesn't allow for the modular upgrades as a PC but if you have huge demands for gaming while traveling than I would say this could be a winner.

Very pretty machine. I used an HP Envy, realy happy with it but this has a little more muscle to it. I may consider this when I look for a new laptop, if I get another that is. But for the room I have laptops are the only option right now.

Have been using gaming laptops for quite a while now. For work, gaming, streaming and recording. I just like portability and usually they're powerful enough to do everything I want to do.

Never owned a desktop PC with proper hardware so I can't really compare, but I think the lack of portability would probably bum me out.

I love Corsair. Never been disappointed in any of their products that I've owned and have had good customer service experiences as well.

It looks like a phenomenal creator laptop for traveling that way streams are never missed. With the addition of the stream deck bar, this could even be a great editing laptop for when you want to be out of the office. Those macros would help the editing flow substantially!

I had to move across the world so decided to get a good PC laptop, none of the brands available provided anything good enough so I got one custom built. Mine is pretty much like this specs-wise (without the streamer bar), only 1 thunderbolt port but I have an ethernet port. Mine runs great, I tested Cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p and was getting 80-100fps but I also got a super high end screen that goes up to 2160p if needed. If this was available at the time it would be a harder decision between getting this or a custom one. Brands can have international warranties and support, so that's a thing to consider if you're moving to another country. Before researching laptops I had no idea custom laptops could be so good, so it's an option if none of the brands are providing what you need.

The kayboard uses the Cherry MX ultra low profile mechanical ones, Corsair actually has a new desktop keyboard coming soon called the K100 Air which has the same keys.

With Corsair's Slipstream peripherals, you can connect three Slipstream devices to 1 reciever, so Headset, Mouse and Keyboard.

I have an ASUS ROG laptop. Matte faux carbon fiber finish. My favorite part is the keyboard as well! Very nice feel and good sound, and of course RGB. I don't use the trackpad as it sits at my desk 90% of the time. A good gaming laptop is a thing of beauty but they are definitely few and far between.

Still loving my Asus Rog Zephyrus Duo 15. It's unique, trackpad is small, could use another USB-C, but what it does bring to the table...damn it's nice.

This video has inadvertently sent me down the rabbit hole of the world of laptop docks

Where has this been all my life

Harris, can you cover how to do stream overlays specifically for Youtube? They're so different than Twitch, and half the stuff on overlays you download simply don't work the same. Any advice?

Nice looking laptop. I have an Asus ROG laptop I bought to game with when I went to the hospital and it held up really well to all my games and then some. I think the thing that slowed me down was the crappy hospital wifi.
