When you don't know software engineering you compare two programming languages which are use for different purposes, java is mainly used for app development in android and web apps, python is mainly used in AI and ML because of libraries like pytorch, tensorflow, numpy etc. Its pointless to compare, and btw you shouldn't use python if you want to solve a timecomplexity problem in coding interviews, cause python codes run very slow.
