Praying for everyone involved and the firefighter's risking their lives to put out the fires. Prayers for everyone's safety.

Sure hope they aren’t using any diesel powered fire engines or fire dozers. Better keep the air tankers and helicopters grounded to. All that aviation fuel being burnt ya know? God forbid they get on a yearly rotation of picking sections of Forrest in fire prone areas and do controlled burns to keep the underbrush thinned out so when a real fire breaks out it’s fuel is already spent and it’s easier to contain.

Maybe I don't know the real reason. But considering how bad the fires were last year you would think they would try and do something to slow or stop fires for this year. Doesn't make sense to me.

He should have declared a State of Emergency just for the fact he’s the Governor.

This is incredibly sad and prayers go up for all those impacted 🙏 I just can’t help but wonder, Who is starting these fires?

so we used to hike the pacific crest trail for almost two decades and i can tell you how obvious it was when entering a national forest section of trail compared to the state forest side. there is forest management on national sides going off the trails till the terrain stops you. the state forest side would have just the trail cleared but if you tried to get off the trail you were consumed in heavy under growth. california loves to take in those huge state parks fees but for the most part they shift it to their pet projects. glad i moved away too bad pretty place but you would be insane to live there.

It's almost as if they removed all the grazing animals that kept the underbrush at bay....

It should have been declared an emergency the moment the damn thing started or was set. “Oh, it’s under an acre, just send Bob out to take care of it.”

Damn. I love to visit that area. Mariposa was one of favoritie stops. I've been visiting HIghwary 49 and those old towns since 1957 when I was in high school in L.A. Used to pan for gold on rivers throughout the region - and usually got some. Yosemite is a magical place - better than any I've visited around the world. If its arson, they should execute.
