Fix any tool battery with this hack #shorts

I had to do that to a DeWalt battery I left on a cheap tool while not in use.
I used 2 wires to jump it but from what I've heard you only need to connect it for a few seconds. That's what I did and it started charging but at first it only charged to 2 bars. So I let it cool down then put it back on and it's been working fine.
But thanks for the tip. This info is good to know.

This will balance two batteries but if the battery has a resistive cell its gonna get hot a explode. Most times you can trickle charge and its fine.

Used to do this with Camera batteries that would no longer charge. Helps clear the cathode if memory serves me

Way easier to take 2 wires and crimp straight blade connectors on the ends as jumpers and ive done it to several dewalt batteries and they usually crap out again next time it dies

Done this with phones that wouldn't charge. Took a 5v power supply wires and put them on the battery for a few minutes, then they come back to life lol

Should mention if the battery is damaged don’t do this if it was left in a tool or something and just died then wouldn’t charge your fine but if it is damaged could go up in flames or brick both

Works most of the time, but not all the time. Sometimes after a heavy drop, the chips inside are broken and it will charge off the battery but not the charger.

Clint, could this also work with the Ryobi batteries?---I've tried and am wondering if there's some chip that prevents or possibly reads one of the cells as very low or having resistance? (The weak batterny)

It's just because the battery drops below a voltage that the charges can read

This does work, but I would not leave it for a couple minutes, 30 seconds should work
