Day 31: Lenten Series on Leadership

Todays video was recorded in Bibury while out for my Sunday morning run.

The theme for today is character and reputation.

We all have a reputation - some leaders will have a good reputation while others may have a bad one. Sometimes leaders obsess about their reputation. However the key to having a good reputation is to take care of your character - if you take care of your character your reputation will take care of itself.

Jesus has a good reputation among his followers - his character was pure, loving and honourable. Some tried to destroy his reputation but it didn’t work - the lies and the character assassinations came to nothing. His heart and character were put so others saw through the lies and deceit.

A good leader will make it a priority to take care of their character knowing that their reputation will take care of itself. Even if people try to blacken out reputation - it won’t work - because our hearts are pure.
