If we love one another, God remains in us,
and his love is brought to perfection in us.

Gospel: Luke 6:27-38
Jesus said to his disciples: “To you who hear I say, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who slander you. And to anyone who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also. And from anyone who takes away your coat, do not withhold even your tunic. But give to everyone who asks of you, and do not ask for anything back from the one who takes what is yours. And exactly as you would want people to treat you, treat them the same. If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Indeed, even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much in return. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. Therefore, be merciful, just as your Father is also merciful.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Prayer: My merciful Lord, Your love is beyond my own ability to comprehend. Your love is absolute and always seeks the good of the other. Give me grace, dear Lord, to love with Your heart and to forgive to the extent that You have forgiven. Use me, especially, to be an instrument of salvation and mercy to those who need it most in my life. Jesus, I trust in You.

Amen! Such a beautiful message! The message of love is one that must be all consuming in our life! As difficult as it may be, it is a truth that all followers of Christ must embrace. We can be advocates for justice, but we must not allow ourselves to seek it as a way of revenge. Our zeal for justice can lead to an injustice that can hurt others unintentionally. This is especially true today. We can become so focused on a person who's actions definitely do not coincide with our own, and that's what we have to remember, our own, that we become over zealous in our communication and feelings towards them and in turn hurt someone close to us. I have learned that those things which contradict my faith are better left to the Lord to address. Trust, trust is the strength behind my faith. I am not the judge and jury for others feelings or thoughts as we are all entitled to our own. But I trust that God will apply justice where justice is needed. I trust that the truth will always come out. That what ever the Father decides will apply to His will and my faith will accept it. It is important for us to remember that we all were created by the same God, the same one who created Cain and his brother Able. It was God who judged Cain for taking Abel's life. So will it be forever. We can adjudicate our brothers and sisters, but the real judgement will come when they stand before Him and answer for their actions. It is important that we understand that the souls of the good and the bad need the same salvation regardless of our own feelings. We must continually pray that the "lost" will be found and that they find the truth that will set them free.🙏💖🕊🕊🕊🕊
