Why does high flow oxygen help with the symptoms of cluster headaches?

I’ve just started the oxygen and it’s a god send, first time the symptoms only hit my nose on the inside for like 3 mins and then the symptoms disappeared, the second one this morning wouldn’t let go for about 10-15 mins but it was severe, but it subsided quickly, then the second one followed that one for about 4 mins in length and subsided all the time putting on my fighter pilot mask and breathing in oxygen.

Hello there, I am currently ina cluster headache attack. It's been 3 weeks and this is my second cycle since 11 years ago. I wish they would send me home with oxygen instead of making me come back in case it doesn't go away 😢

Yeah man thanks for explaing what the Oxygen i use does etc I also use sumatriptan in tablet and injection ( Imagran 0.6mg ) form has really helped with my attacks. I also Use Oxygen. Sumatriptan is a serotonin, but oh my it works. Most people think it’s just for migraine . Very effective with Cluster. I’ve been getting them since 1981. Thats 43 years. I promise you this works 🙏🏾
