I've been on the planet 72 years. We lived on Northwood Avenue and 156th Streets, across the street from the Compton Airport. Our neighborhoods were brand new, called "Freedom Homes." .Neighbors knew each other and watched over each others children and homes. We went to Laurel Street School, Birch Elementary School, and St. Albert's.I was 8 and a half when we moved. I cried like a baby! I will always appreciate those years of my life.
