Go back when she was sworn in as the FIRST INDIAN Senator in 2017. When the reporters were saying that she was the first Indian she did not once stop them she just agreed that she was.

But they are true. In 2016 she was elected into the senate and was the first Indian American from California to be elected in the senate. The before she ran for president in 2020, she started calling herself black. She’s born of Indian Jamaican parents, she grew up with her mom and sister in Montreal, Canada. She never spent much of that time with her Jamaican father.
