My wife just recently got approved for the delta similes gold card. 80k miles after 3k spend in 6 months. I will be a AU on it of course. We are looking forward to hopefully free flights to some place nice. The 1 checked bag free benefits will pay for this card quickly and the 100 delta stays credit is also easy to earn and use. This is probably the sweet spot to start with. Esp the first year free to try it out.
