I could still remember there were only 5 people in the theater including me and two of my friends when we went to watch How To Train Your Dragon 3. The other two audience were guys and at the end when Hiccup had to say goodbye to Toothless me and my friends were crying so hard but when we turned aside to look at those guys they were weeping too which made things even better. Guess everyone has a soft spot for this movie and it is never too embarassing to cry over love and affection.

Oh god I’m crying

This... the nostalgia hurts... the memories... the laughter and smiles... it’s like it’s all gone

1:29 - This part of the song, as hiccup throws away the papers and flies toothless without the papers, always sends shivers down my spine

1:29 is the moment that gave me chills and filled me with emotion, just how hiccup gets rid of the cheat sheet and kicks it into full gear. This series is a damn masterpiece

This is genuinely one of the most amazing film compositions ever, it's so uplifting and I get literal chills. It's pretty nostalgic now too.

The fact that kids (including me) from 2010 who watched HTTYD still listen to this Soundtrack and still leave comments on YouTube almost 12 years later makes me so happy. I just had my 17th Birthday a week ago but this will forever make me feel like a little kid watching the movie in the cinema for the first time...the joy I felt and still feel🥲

For those who don't know, this piece is intended to be the epic ultimate combination of both Hiccup and Toothless' themes. i.e 0:05 is Toothless' theme and 0:22 is Hiccup's theme, and then it grows into a powerful theme of its own by 1:19 when Hiccup throws away his sheet and begins to naturally fly with Toothless. Whilst in previous scenes their themes were played together, it was done so very subtly and became more and more apparent as they got to know each other and their friendship grew, and this was the music that showed that at this point they had finally become something other than curious creatures to one another. I think it excellently shows how their friendship has developed into an almost symbiosis, one cannot be without the other and they both fulfill each other. John Powell is a genius.

40 years old here, so it doesn't trigger kid nostalgia for me... but it touches my heart every time anyhow. Amazing work.

I remember the time when my dad keep hyping me and telling me to watch this movie when I was a kid and after I saw it, I loved it and immediately became my favorite. Now I'm 18, and I feel so nostalgic. Rest in paradise pa! I'll never forget our moments watching this movie.

I dare you to prove me wrong. HTTYD has to be the best animated trilogy in history. There is nothing imo that even comes close. I can't even put into words how to describe why it just is flawless.
