Hello Jamie, yeah a patenoster rig has in its own rights it's benefits but I can't say I have a massive use of it due to fishery rules at the venues im currently fishing. Good informative video for those who are looking to learn. 👍

In my experience, when the fish pulls counter to the direction in which the hooklenght exists the knot, the line breaks much easier.
The hooklenght line exist the knot towards the tip of the rod, but the fish pulls towards the lead.
