EP 14: Misha Goetz: For Such A Time As This | The Gather Podcast

For over a decade Misha has dedicated her life to the art of music and the ministry of worship.

Growing up as the only child to modern day psalmist Marty Goetz and his wife Jennifer, Misha’s earliest memories formed in Nashville behind the piano where she composed her first recorded song at the age of eight. “As a Messianic Jew, my dream is to unite Christian and Jew in worship of the Holy One of Israel,” says Misha. Her style of worship builds upon decades of her father’s ministry and yet incorporates her own youthful style and anointing.

Her first full-length album, Weight of Glory, was released summer 2013 to critical acclaim with the help of a successful Kickstarter campaign. Her debut album is a blend of Messianic and Christian worship styles with most of the songs written and produced by Misha herself.

Above all, Misha’s desire is that her music would penetrate to the heart and usher people into the presence of the Lord. Her heart is to see a generation touched and transformed through surrender in worship. "I love to worship, and it is my greatest joy to see people blessed and changed, the way I am changed in His presence," says Misha.

Marty Goetz & Misha: LIVE from Jerusalem was filmed and recorded in Israel, overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem with a 26-piece orchestra. Her second solo album, A Time For Everything, was released in October of 2022.

Currently, Misha resides outside of Washington, D.C. with her husband, Joshua, and their children Caleb, Samuel, Lillian Ruth and Eden Elizabeth.

As a Jewish believer, I could so relate to what you guys were saying. Now 2 days before Purim 2025, my heart is grieved with the lack of understanding in the gentile world and esp the church. Praying now that I will receive the boldness I need to speak and write for Israel. Love you three in Him💃🏻

from Gerry- What a wonderful time this was. I have been attending Messiah conference since 2013 so I am familiar with Misha and Marty. We play their CDs often. Thank you all for the reminder that we all are called by God for good works that have been prepared for us. I pray the church has an awakening to actually be the church in this needy world. God bless.

What a timely episode! Misha is a beautiful soul with a beautiful voice and I had to share her and Marty’s video For Such a Time As This today to as many people as I could. Especially in light of what has happened since October 7! We must arise and be courageous as Esther was, and speak up in defence of Israel and the Jewish people everywhere. I too left a church I was attending and serving in because they remained silent on Israel. I now attend a messianic Jewish congregation. Blessings upon you the Aaron’s, and Misha. Chag Purim Sameach! Happy Purim. Our God saves!

Please don’t apologize for going “too deep”!! We need people to go deep right now. “There’s a Biblical significance to Israel that does matter.”

The church doesn't talk about Israel from the pulpit, but the people don't want to talk about Israel outside of church is that.
