I'm thrown off by the departure at 7 in the "afternoon". But if 7pm was intended stated time, that doesn't actually seem that long of travel time. Time zones are working against us in that direction. Of course my perception may be off bc i recently was looking at trips to Svalbard too, and from the US east coast it was looking like ~18hr trip by local times

There’s been beautiful northern lights here in Tromsø almost every night since new years. You can see it very well both in the city and out in the countryside. November is too early.

Totally agree. The only reason to go to Tromsø is for the nature around it, not Tromsø itself. Also thought the Norwegians were extremely introverted and they tried to avoid any social interaction.

Next time you can hop a direct flight to the UK from Tampa and then hop an Norwegian or Wizz air to Tromso will shave 10hrs off your travel

I think Tromsø is lovely, but was kind of a bust.
