Announcing the release of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ as a deluxe box set to celebrate 50 years since the release of one of the best-selling albums of all time. Newly remastered, the box set released on 24th March 2023.

One of the most iconic and influential albums ever, Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ continues to find new audiences globally. The album was partly developed during live performances, and the band premiered an early version of the suite at London’s Rainbow Theatre several months before recording began. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ is the eighth studio album by Pink Floyd, originally released in the US on 1 March and then in the UK on 16th March 1973. The new material was recorded in 1972 and 1973 at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road studios) in London. The iconic sleeve, which depicts a prism spectrum, was designed by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis and drawn by George Hardie. ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

**'THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON - LIVE AT WEMBLEY EMPIRE POOL, LONDON, 1974’**
Simultaneously, on 24th March, the CD and first ever vinyl issue of Pink Floyd’s ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon - Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974’ will be released independently. It was originally recorded in November 1974 as part of the band’s winter tour and this is the first time it will be available as a stand-alone album, with artwork featuring an original 1973 line-drawn cover by George Hardie.

After all these years, the hairs on my neck *still* stand up for Clare Torry's incredible performance here. Truly one of the most heartfelt tracks ever recorded.

The greatest backing vocal performance (or perhaps lead, by a backing singer) in classic rock, after 50 years. Big salute to Clare Torry.

I was a young freshman college student. It was spring, windows opened, curtains blowing. Just down the hall I heard The Great Gig in the Sky playing for the first time. It fucking blew me away.

It's hard to believe that I have been listening to this album for 50 years, and it's never gotten old!

Incredible song. You don’t expect it when you listen to the album in its entirety the first time. Catches you off guard in a great way, especially if you’re baked. The album keeps you on your toes in an expansive and exciting way, yet also manages to soothe you. A masterpiece.

My ex passed away almost 3 years ago and when I walked into the viewing this song was playing and when I hear it I can't help but cry. Our kid is a huge Pink Floyd fan so I also get comfort in knowing music helps sooth her soul.

I used to be a psych nurse many years ago, and one night shift we played this whole album over the ward speakers. Listening to this song echo from the walls of an old Victorian asylum in the middle of the night was surreal.

This right here ladies and gentlemen is the reason why Pink Floyd needed Rick Wright. He just like Roger and David was a great songwriter. Look at this track, Any Colour You Like, Summer 68, Welcome To The Machine etc. He was an outstanding visionary with his sound. Rest in peace Richard Wright you may have not been a Keith Emerson but you made a damn good job to contribute to Pink Floyd to have such an incredible and iconic sound 🤘

This was my Mom's favorite song a very long time. Sadly, my Mom passed away from Heart Seizure on April 12th 2024 & she's in the great gig in the sky. Love you & i miss you so much Mom (1962) - (2024)

This opera singing is something to behold if you see it live. I saw this song live in the 90's, this lady sent chills up my spine and the hair on the back of my neck stood up. It's an experience I'll never forget.

The problem with this song is that it is so unique that there are no others like this for us to hear

In 1973 I was in 8th grade and my freshman year of high school. I remember listening to this recording on headphones and I was blown away. Later in life and going into adulthood, there was nothing better than a little weed, bottle of wine, and a good looking chick to share it all with....awww, those were great days. Today at 65, this takes me back to those long ago days and blows me away still. 💙💜🩷💛💚

I was 16 when my friend said "dude, you gotta hear this song by Pink Floyd, " and it was then I realized that music can be something so much more than the sum of its parts. The amount of human sentiment in this melody is almost incomprehensible.

I love that everyone is talking about either Rick, Roger or David (and Clare Torry of course) on this track. But man, I love the drums that are being played on this track by Nick.
